Will The Hobbit Movies Differ From The Books?
I just saw the trailer for the hobbit. it looks fantastic, and i would expect nothing else from peter jackson. having read the book only once and many years ago (i have read lotr many times through), my impression is that the movie will be somewhat darker, and more in line with the other movies than the hobbit book was. i seem to remember the book being more of a children 's book versus lotr. anyone know the scoop on this? are there more solid, obvious references/ ties to lotr in the movie than the book. either way, looking forward to it. When Is "the Hobbit" Released?
I saw the trailer on youtube, and then i checked the release date online... one website said it is gonna be released in december 2012!... a whole yeari 'm not sure on the norm time between trailer and release, but a year seems a long time.i also know that teaser trailers are released before longer trailers, but i 'm pretty sure it this trailer wasant a teaser... it was quite lengthy, but then again i 'm not sure on the norm.someone please enlighten mehaha! i suppose so.i sorta looking for confirmation about the date, or for someone to say it was wrong, and it 's going to be released next month.... ha! if only.i cannot wait... seriously (Read answers)

I know this has been asked before and i answered a few questions like this but as a fan of the hobbit i 'll ask it anyways. personally i thought the trailer was epic. while the movie might not rival the lord of the rings, it is awesome in its own right even if just because it was supposed to come out 20 years ago (no kidding) and finally is released for next year. it looks pretty accurate too except for the galadriel/ gandalf part which looks like something similar to arwen/ aragorn. that would be really awkward and strange since galadriel is married to another elf lord and gandalf is a different kind of wizard who can 't become involved in things of middle-earth too much except when doomsday is at risk, basically. i thought everything else was cool though and i totally flipped out when gollum entered the scene. i thought that martin freeman did a swell job of bilbo baggins although some of his attempted humour felt a bit dry and forced. it was cool though and i am just happy that they finally made the film. thank heavens for peter jackson and everyone else who slaved away so that we can watch this fantasy epic! but enough rambling on my part. what do you, personally and honestly, think of the hobbit trailer? What Kind Of Horn Is This In The Hobbit Trailer? (name That Horn, Or Closest Match)?
I love epic film, game and tv soundtracks, i also produce my own music but i can never seem to get the right horn sound when i want to make something sound epic.. the horns in lotr and the hobbit soundtrack are a perfect example of the sound i 'm looking for from my brass..so, in short, if you skip to 55 seconds through this youtube video, there 's a horn (probably a couple actually) that comes in as the tune drops.. if someone could put a name to the horn(s), that 'd be brilliant, or if someone could direct me to a vst or a reason soundbank with that kind of horn it 'd be even better!the closest match i 've been able to find so far is the french horn... just doesn 't cut it though! :(youtube.com/ watch?v= 4-dvcj_gyaq (Read answers)
